With borders opening and the continued lifting of COVID restrictions, Accela Communications isn’t showing any signs of slowing down for 2022! It’s great to see so many new venues continuing to open in Singapore, and travel across the region picking up again - great news for Accela clients!

Need some inspiration for a new bar to check out or cocktail to mix up? Read on for a recap of our newest projects…

  • Earlier in June, Aberfeldy held an exclusive masterclass and dram session with Matthew Cordiner, Global Malt Whisky Ambassador of the Single Malt John Dewar & Sons whiskies range. Media and industry friends were invited to the event and got to gain a better understanding of the range and brand.

  • Looking for that perfect gift for the friend who has everything? Bevvies, a new online retailer with curated drinks-inspired packages, has you covered. From poker night with the guys to housewarmings and beach days, Bevvies offers hampers that pair wine, beer and cocktails with sustainable and unique goodies suited to the occasion.

  • Fair-trade certified and carbon neutral, Flor de Caña has established itself as a leader in the sustainable spirits space. As part of the brand’s commitment to eco-friendly practices, it has brought the Sustainable Cocktail Challenge back to Singapore to share and promote these values with the bartender community. This year’s Singapore challenge saw Jez Carreon of Employees Only Singapore taking home the top prize and advancing to the regional finals in Bangkok.

  • The oldest running rum distillery, Mount Gay recently released its Mount Gay Andean Oak cask, the fourth limited edition release from the brand’s Master Blender Collection. This bold blend by forward-thinking and award-winning Master Blender Trudiann Branker has been applauded by rum enthusiasts for its boundary-pushing methods and uniqueness. The limited-edition expression had only 90 bottles allocated to Singapore, available and top cocktail bars and rum destinations including Sugarhall, Lime House, Low Tide and 15 Stamford.

  • We’re thrilled to be launching the much anticipated Nobu Singapore, which has officially opened its doors for service under the twinkling lights of the renowned Four Seasons Hotel Singapore. The restaurant is helmed by a global team of Nobu veteran chefs, with Chef Hideki Maeda, a protégé of Nobu Matsuhisa himself, overseeing the restaurant’s timeless Japanese-Peruvian dishes.

  • Housed at the 7th floor of Funan’s rooftop, NOKA by Tippling Club is a modern-Japanese restaurant serving spirited small plates bursting with flavour and omakase with a sexy arsenal of Japanese whisky highballs and artisanal sake. The restaurant is helmed by award-winning Chef Ryan Clift of Tippling Club (also an Accela Communications client), which is known for its ultra-progressive cuisine and cocktails.

  • The well-loved Plantation Rum has recently launched a new special edition Pineapple Stiggin's Fancy Smoky Formula. A smoky and tropical twist on an iconic award-winning Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple rum, the rum went through an extra maturation in ex-peated Teeling single malt Irish whiskey casks – made to delight your senses with every sip. The limited-edition bottles are available from EC Proof, and bars such as Potato Head, Employees Only and Lime House will be serving pineapple rum-infused cocktails for a limited time only.

  • Having worked with the team on their launch campaign for Barbary Coast, we’ve also been tapped to launch Revival, which opened its doors in May. Located in the heart of Robertson Quay, the mid-century modern style bar serves elevated cocktails inspired by art movements throughout time. With 16 house drinks on offer, the artistic menu offers unique concoctions centred around an iconic art piece from different styles, from Neoclassicism to romanticism and frescoes.
