The Brief

Located at the lobby level, Origin Bar was a welcomed additional the Shangri La Hotel’s newly rejuvenated Tower Wing. The heritage-inspired cocktail menu offers guests a journey of discovery through flavors inspired by five key districts of Singapore: Orchard, Chinatown, Little India, Boat Quay and Marina Bay.

The Strategy

Accela launched Origin Bar into the Singapore market through a multitude of initiatives, hosting small tasting groups of 4 – 6 media and influencers (regional and International) throughout February and March, coordinating and managing The official launch event in February, dedicated ladies evening “Gossip Night” in March, a reader event with Time Out Singapore and prolific panel discussion Esquire Talks.

The Results

Over the six month tenure with Origin Bar, Accela secured 302 articles and more than 713 million media impressions, achieving a PR Value of S$1,258,696. Top consumer placement highlights include The Straits Times, Wine & Dine, Expat Living, The Edge Options, Silkwinds, Epicure and Time Out Singapore, as well as trade publications such as Drinks World and DRINK Magazine.
