Keep reading to learn more about her role, her favourite cocktail, and what she might be doing if she wasn’t working at Accela…

What does a typical work day look like for you?

Usually, I start my day with a cup of teh bing or iced milk coffee and a snack or two to fuel up my energy. Typically, my work day involves communicating with clients, working on their campaigns with my colleagues, establishing and maintaining relationships with media and influencers, writing pitches, going out for media tastings, etc. Each day is different for me, and that’s what I love the most about my job!

Did you always know you wanted to pursue a role in communications?

More or less! When I was younger, I always liked taking up part-time jobs that are customer-facing and needless to say, the communications role is something that I am interested in, especially after attending poly and uni!

What aspects of your role do you enjoy most?

Communicating with people, especially during media tastings. There are tons of topics you can talk about, really. There’s so much you can learn from others through chatting with them, such as getting relationship advice, hair care tips, skincare recommendations, travel destinations to visit, and the list goes on!

What would you say differentiates Accela from other agencies?

Among the things that make Accela special is the work culture. I can’t emphasize enough how fun it is to work with the team, we really work hard and play hard! We have happy hours and team bonding sessions where we learnt dance choreography together and most recently, cracking mysteries at Escape Room! And I can’t not mention the awesome clients we have.

What do you think the future of the PR & communications industry will look like?

Aside from influencer marketing becoming more and more crucial, I would think there will be more international collaborations and tapping into the digital aspects of things like NFTs, virtual influencers and so on.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I can play the piano (but it’s been awhile since I last played)!

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

I would love to be a cabin crew. I've always wanted to fly for a living, visit different places, meet new people, and go shopping!

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?

Apart from sleeping, I do enjoy baking (not great but I try my best), and catching up with my shows. Currently watching Fate: The Winx Saga and Love in Contract.

What is the most memorable meal you’ve ever had?

The most memorable meal? It is impossible for me to forget one of my dinners in Hanoi. We visited Los Fuegos – Argentinian Steak & Grill and I had one of the best steak ever. It's still fresh in my mind!

It’s happy hour, what’s in your glass?

The very classic cocktail, Gin & Tonic. If I want something fancier, it will be an Espresso Martini.
