Singapore to Host an Impressive Line-Up of World-Class F&B Events: Here’s What to Look Forward to in 2023

Singapore has firmly established its position on the global food and beverage scene in the last decade, and 2023 will be an exciting year for the industry as the Lion City hosts several world-class events.

At Accela Communications, we’re hard at work preparing our hospitality and food and beverage clients for a thrilling roster of live events and experiences after a prolonged break from in-person events.

Here’s a roundup of some of the world’s most highly-anticipated events in Singapore this year.

World's 50 Best Restaurants (March 28th, 2022)

Ten years after The World’s 50 Best Restaurants first launched its regional list, Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, in Singapore, the ceremony returns to the Lion City for a larger-than-life gala recognising the best restaurants and chefs in Asia. The occasion is especially noteworthy as it marks the first time since 2019 that the award ceremony will take place in person.

In celebration of the ten-year anniversary, the programme will include a collaborative dining series featuring international chefs partnering with local talent for one-night-only culinary experiences. Dubbed the “50 Best Signature Sessions,” the experiences will run from March 25th to 29th, 2023 and can be reserved by both local and visiting food lovers. ProWine Singapore (April 25-28, 2023)

In the world of wine and spirits, the ProWine Singapore tradeshow is not to be missed. The event brings together top wineries from around the world to explore the growth prospects of Southeast Asia. Wine importers, distributors, restaurant and hotel owners, and wine retailers and enthusiasts have the opportunity to taste, learn about and purchase a wide variety of wines.

Attendees can look forward to discovering new and exciting wines, learning about the latest industry trends, and networking with other industry professionals. The landmark conference will bring the global wine and spirits trade community together for four days in April at 1 Expo Drive.

Bar Convent (November 6-7, 2023)

Launched in Berlin in 2007 and held exclusively in Berlin each year until 2018, Bar Convent is a must-attend for anyone in the hospitality industry. It brings together some of the world's top bartenders, mixologists, and industry experts alongside premium brands to showcase the latest trends and techniques in the world of mixology.

Following the successful launch of its first overseas convention, Bar Convent Brooklyn, in 2018; and later Bar Convent Sao Paolo in 2019, the world-class organisation will launch Bar Convent Singapore in November at Pasir Panjang Power Station.

Tales of the Cocktail (July 23-28, 2023)

Tales of the Cocktail™ - the drinks industry's leading conference for exchanging new ideas, products, and techniques - gets an honourable mention on this list.

While the conference takes place annually in New Orleans, its partnership with Singapore Tourism Board, announced last summer, marked its first physical footprint in Asia. With a mission of educating, supporting and advancing the global drinks industry, this partnership continues into 2023 with popup events across New York City and Singapore, culminating in a multi-day residency at Tales of the Cocktail® 2023 in New Orleans for members of the Singapore mixology community.

The world-leading cocktail conference takes place in July over three days at The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans. The programme highlight, The Spirited Awards, which recognises the city’s best and most vibrant bars and talents, takes place on July 26th, 2023.

Attending these events is a great way to learn about the latest food and beverage industry innovations and trends and an efficient way to taste and experience the best that Singapore and Asia have to offer. Whether you're a small business owner looking to expand your knowledge and network or a multinational company looking to explore new opportunities in the Asian market, these events will provide valuable insights and inspiration.

Don't miss out on the chance to attend these exciting food and beverage events in Singapore in 2023; mark your calendar and register early!
